The installation, RETROACTION lll is a closed circuit installation made to measure the wall on which it is installed, consisting of either 2, 4, 6, 8 or more projectors.
For every two projectors there is one camera filming one half of each projection; however, as the image is projected through both projecters, the resulting vertical lines are subdivisions of the representation of the line between the two projections. These lines move slightly – seemingly floating like water or wind – across the screen.
When a viewer enters the recording field of the camera, s/he and her/his shadow will be inscribed in the multilayered stripes and lines.
RETROACTION lll was shown at the IMO exhibition space, April 29th – June 5th 2010 as part of the exhibition "Ce n'est pas une image juste, c'est juste une image" curated by contemporary art journal, Internationalistisk Ideale.
