UT (DICHROISM)
Closed-circuit video-installation, dimensions variable

The installation consists of three elements: a camera, a projector and a dichroic lense.
The camera films the lense and sends the signal through to the projector, projecting the image through the lense onto the wall. The light is filtered by the lense, allowing one gamut of wavelengths to pass through, while reflecting their opposites onto the wall – the breaking of light thus happens on two levels: on an actual and a representational level.
When entering the space, the viewer is inscribed in the image relating the piece to the now of the viewer and rendering it spatial / sculptural rather than representational.

UT (Dichroism) was shown at my open studio exhibition at Gasworks, London, GB, Sept. 24th – 27th 2009 alongside other works produced during my residency.
